This year we are supporting the Australian koala project by One Tree Planted. Australia has witnessed unprecedented wildfires in the past year, where 12.6 million hectares of forest burned, releasing an estimated 434 million tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere. The Australian forests are the seventh largest forest area in the world and provide important habitats to wildlife. Unfortunately, these recent wildfires took the lives of more than 1 billion animals.
